Acceptance of Terms
MealNest AI is a personal project operated by Gerardo Santoveña, an individual ("we" or "us" in these Terms). By creating an account or using MealNest AI, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you add a family member's information to your account, including a minor's, you represent that you have the authority to provide that person's information. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. You must be an adult capable of entering into a binding agreement to create an account.
Description of Service
MealNest AI generates weekly meal plans based on the family profiles, allergy and dietary restrictions, and pantry information you provide. Restrictions you specify are enforced as hard rules in how meal plans are generated, not left to best-effort judgment. The allergies you can choose are the EU's 14 allergens listed in the app (milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, sesame, celery, mustard, lupin, sulphites and molluscs). You can also type other allergies; those are checked by ingredient name and by AI, which is less certain than the check of the listed allergens.
No Medical or Nutritional Guarantee
MealNest AI is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. While we enforce the restrictions you specify as hard rules in code, we make no guarantee that any meal plan is safe, complete, or appropriate for any individual's specific health needs. Restrictions are checked against ingredient names: we cannot know what a particular brand or product contains, what its "may contain" labels say, or whether cross-contact can happen where you shop or cook, so always read the label of every product you use. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding your or your family's dietary and medical needs, especially for serious allergies. Calorie figures shown with meals are estimates produced by AI together with the recipe. They are not verified against nutrition data, may differ from what you cook, and are not nutrition or medical advice.
Subscriptions & Billing
MealNest AI is a paid service with a free trial. Every new account gets a 14-day free trial with the Premium plan's limits; no payment details are needed to start it, and it ends when you subscribe. There are two plans: Basic, which plans meals for up to 2 family members and allows a new meal plan every 7 days, and Premium, which plans meals for up to 5 family members and allows 1 new meal plan a day. The limits and features of each plan may change; the current ones are always shown on our website, and a change never deletes anything you have saved. Each plan can be paid monthly or yearly; the price is shown before you pay, in US dollars, and prices do not include taxes. Paid subscriptions are sold by LemonSqueezy, our payment processor and merchant of record: you buy from LemonSqueezy, which charges your payment method, sends your receipt and collects any sales tax, under its own terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price of your plan, until you cancel. They are billed and managed through LemonSqueezy's hosted checkout and customer portal; we do not process or store your payment card details ourselves. You can cancel at any time through the customer portal. When your trial ends without a subscription, or when a subscription ends, your account becomes read-only: your family members, pantry and last meal plan are not deleted and stay visible, but you cannot change them or generate a new meal plan until you subscribe. If you have more family members saved than your plan covers, all of them stay saved and you choose which ones new meal plans are for; the restrictions of the members you leave out are not applied to those plans.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of your first payment for a paid subscription: write to hello@mealnestai.com from your account's email address, and we will refund the payment and end the paid plan. This applies to monthly and yearly payments. After those 14 days you can cancel at any time; cancelling stops future charges, and your paid plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Later payments, including renewals, are not refunded, except where the law requires it. Refunds go back to the original payment method through LemonSqueezy.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to access another user's account or data, interfering with the service's operation, or using the service for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual Property
MealNest AI and its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Meal plans generated for your account are yours to use personally; you may not resell or redistribute the service itself.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MealNest AI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Guatemala, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Guatemala. This doesn't take away any rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live. For questions about these Terms, contact us at hello@mealnestai.com.
